That’s why I have put together a list of clothing hacks that are sure to help you out next time you have an outfit malfunction!

10 Genius Clothing Hacks You Will Wish You Knew Years Ago

ICE CUBES IN THE DRYER

If you have wrinkles in your clothes and need to get out the door fast, then toss your clothes in the dryer with a couple of ice cubes.  As the ice melts, the moisture will remove the creases from your clothes.

USE STRAIGHTENER TO IRON

Have you noticed creases in the corners of your clothes but don’t have time to iron?  Use a hair straightener to get rid of creases in collars and sleeves of your shirts.

RAZOR TO REMOVE PILLING

Pilling on sweaters and cardigans makes them look old and tired and can ruin a really well put together outfit.  However, you can remove the bobbles by gently running a razor along the fabric!

DRY SHAMPOO IN SHOES

Cheesy shoes stinking out the hallway?  Spray a little bit of dry shampoo into the shoe which will absorb the moisture and mask the nasty smell!

NAIL POLISH TO REMOVE SHOE SCRATCHES

Accidentally scuffed your new shoes?  Don’t worry! You can use nail polish in a matching colour to the shoes to hide the mark… nobody will ever know!

USE A KEYRING TO KEEP UP FLIES

You know those annoying jeans that have flies which always end up unzipped…?  Try attaching a keyring loop to the zipper and then hooking it over the button to avoid any more embarrassing situations!

CLEAR NAIL POLISH TO PREVENT TIGHTS LADDERING

Got a ladder in your tights and don’t have time to change?  Add a dab of clear nail polish over the tear to prevent it from getting any worse throughout the day.

LEMON WILL REMOVE SWEAT STAINS AND ODOURS

Sweat stains on your white clothes?  Use lemon juice to lift the stains and remove the unpleasant odour!

HAIRDRYER TO BREAK IN NEW SHOES

There is honestly nothing worse than trying to break in a new pair of shoes.  While you’re so excited to style your new kicks, the cuts in the back of your feet are excruciatingly painful.

Well hold a hairdryer on medium heat over your new shoes to soften the material, and you will notice that your shoes wear in much faster!

CLOTHES IN FREEZER TO REMOVE CHEWING GUM

Dropped a piece of chewing gum on your favourite jeans?  Act quick and put them in the freezer for a couple of hours.  The temperature will freeze the gum into place and when you take your clothes out, you will be able to easily flake away the gum.
